Darryl
Strawberry

Darryl Strawberry is a legendary professional baseball player – a four-time World Series champion and eight-time All-Star and National League Rookie of the year. But his is also a story of pain and addiction that derailed his life until he found true life in Christ. A popular speaker, author and two-time cancer survivor, Darryl is founder of the Darryl Strawberry Foundation, which provides funds to programs that help people in the autism community.

Heitzig

Skip Heitzig is founder and the longtime Senior Pastor of Calvary Church – Albuquerque. A best-selling author, his messages reach thousands across the country and the world through his television and radio ministry, Connect with Skip Heitzig. A native of Southern California, where he learned under Calvary Chapel founder Chuck Smith (subject of the Jesus Revolution film), Skip brings powerful, relevant messages in a laid-back, conversational style.

Daniel
Ritchie

Born without arms, Daniel Ritchie shares that God shaped his perspective to pursue a full life because he is defined by Him, defined by His grace. Daniel shares the Gospel with more than 200,000 people each year – encouraging audiences with the hope of Christ. He speaks of the grace he’s experienced. Rather than seeing himself as the world would, as a “sum of two empty sleeves,” God has brought him to a place of contentment.

Carter

Evan Carter helped the Texas Rangers to their first World Series title just 55 days after being called up from Triple-A Round Rock. In 23 regular-season games, the 21-year-old rookie hit .306 with five homers and 12 RBIs. In 17 postseason games, he batted .300 with a homer, nine doubles and nine runs scored. Evan has never hesitated sharing his faith, whether it be through interviews where he gives all glory to God or wearing a Jesus Won T-shirt during batting practice.

Will Evan Carter or Darryl Strawberry sign sports memorabilia?

No, sports memorabilia will not be signed. Darryl Strawberry will sign copies of his book only.

Where should I park and enter?

Please park in the main parking lot on the property’s south side (facing Park Blvd.) and enter through the main Atrium doors near the outdoor fountain. All other entrances will be locked.

Can children attend?

We certainly welcome preteen to high school students to attend the event. Please keep in mind that some speakers may touch on more mature topics during the event.

What is the schedule?

5:00 PM –BBQ dinner (sold out)
6:00 PM – Worship Center doors open.
6:30 PM – AWAKEN begins.

Please bring a Bible, pen and notebook.

Can I bring a friend who hasn’t registered?

The BBQ dinner is sold out but walk-up registrations for the main session will be available Friday evening.

Where do I pick up my Jesus Won T-shirt?

Pre-ordered Jesus Won T-shirts will be available for pickup at the bookstore (on-site) Friday evening. A limited quantity of T-shirts will be available for purchase at the bookstore.
